A headshot is a person’s introduction to the world. We live in a digital age, and a good headshot is vital. It’s our job to create an image that serves as a virtual handshake. This course is designed to help someone wanting to break into the world of headshot photography, using what you have now and building up gradually as you grow in your skills. You can have a minimal setup and capture the true essence of the soul in front of your lens.
What you can expect in my course.
Positioning the light. Understanding how to position the light you have to make it most flattering for your clients.
Proper exposure. Proper exposure ensures a striking headshot. Whether your style is airy or moody, proper exposure exists.
Posing your client. How you pose your client in correlation with your light is imperative
Capturing connection. Your headshots, whether simple on plain white paper or styled with a gorgeous backdrop of greenery or a cityscape, should make someone feel like they’re looking into the eyes of your client face to face

Natural Light

Natural light is one of the most aesthetically pleasing light sources for a photographer. However, natural light can also be unpredictable and very inconsistent. In this class we will learn how to read different lighting situations so when you are shooting in natural light, you can make quicker decisions based on your desired style and achieve beautiful photos every time. This class is for beginners and anyone wanting to learn how to improve their ability to creatively use natural, ambient light for portraits.
